Event Waiver & Participation Terms

A Legal Disclaimer

The information on this page is provided to inform attendees and ticket purchasers about event participation terms, safety expectations, and related policies for Salem Summer Jam. By attending the event or completing ticket registration, you acknowledge that you have reviewed these terms and understand that participation in festival activities is voluntary and subject to the conditions outlined on this page.

Event Activities

Salem Summer Jam is an outdoor festival that may include, but is not limited to, inflatable bounce houses, games, DJ music, glow/LED party activities, face painting, vendors, performances, and other recreational and entertainment activities.

Assumption of Risk

I understand that attendance at and participation in Salem Summer Jam involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, slips, trips, weather-related conditions, crowd-related incidents, loud music, equipment-related incidents, injuries that may result from physical or recreational activities, risk of property damage, serious bodily injury, illness, and, in rare circumstances, death. I voluntarily assume all such risks for myself and for any minor child(ren) or family member(s) under my supervision.

Supervision of Children

I understand that parents and legal guardians are solely responsible for supervising their children at all times during Salem Summer Jam. Salem Summer Jam, its organizers, staff, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, contractors, and affiliates are not responsible for providing individual supervision of children.

Inflatables and Games

I understand that participation in bounce houses, inflatables, games, and similar activities involves physical activity and may result in injury. I acknowledge that all participants must follow posted rules, safety instructions, age or height restrictions, and directions given by event staff or volunteers. Participation in these activities is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Salem Summer Jam, its organizers, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, contractors, and affiliates from and against claims for injury, illness, loss, damage, or theft arising out of or related to attendance at or participation in the event, except to the extent caused by conduct that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

Rules and Conduct

I agree to comply with all event rules, posted signage, safety instructions, and directions from event staff, volunteers, and security personnel. I understand that any person acting in an unsafe, disruptive, threatening, or unlawful manner may be removed from the event without refund or further recourse, if applicable.

Photography and Video Release

I grant Salem Summer Jam permission to photograph, record, or film me and/or any minor child(ren) under my care during the event and to use such photographs, videos, or recordings for promotional, marketing, media, social media, and website purposes without compensation.

Privacy and Communications

Any personal information collected in connection with registration or this acknowledgment will be used for event administration, recordkeeping, and related communications. By providing my contact information, I agree that Salem Summer Jam may send me updates regarding this event and future events. I understand that I may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time.

Electronic Acknowledgment and Agreement

By attending and/or registering for a ticket to Salem Summer Jam, I acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to review this Waiver, Release, and Acknowledgment, and I understand that ticket registration and event attendance are subject to these terms. By completing my ticket registration, I agree to these terms on behalf of myself and, if applicable, any minor child(ren) or family member(s) under my care, and I represent that I have the legal authority to accept these terms for any minor child(ren) included in the registration.
